Our clients have access to improved products and services and our combined team offers new insight into customized banking solutions. Shareholders have seen impressive stock growth, increased liquidity and more transparency in price. At the same time, the communities we serve are receiving the same level of financial support, staff volunteerism, and in-kind donations.
As you may know, our Olympia branch currently operates as Thurston First Bank, a division of Commencement Bank. As part of the merger agreement with Thurston First, the name was to be maintained for at least one year following the close of the merger. At maturity of that one-year anniversary, Bank Board and Management leadership, with input from stakeholders, decided to transition the Thurston First name to Commencement Bank. The benefits of changing the name greatly support the Bank’s growth strategy and further opens the door to run a more efficient organization.
Over the next couple of months, we will begin transitioning the Thurston First name to Commencement Bank and anticipate the change to be complete in January 2018. Aside from the name change and a new website, there will be no disruption to your banking services.
All debit cards, credit cards, checks, account numbers, deposit and loan rates, login credentials and processes will remain the same. More importantly, your current banker and support staff will continue to assist you with the same, high-quality customer service you are accustomed to.
As a combined bank with one name, our culture, values and staff will continue to reflect the same commitment to you and our community. Thank you for your support in making this transition successful.
